Free Wi-Fi was working perfectly. 3 km from Wallace's Tower. Honestly nothing too much trouble.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The building was full of charm and gave off a cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food at the restaurant was superb, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals. I also appreciated the personal touch and excellent service provided by the staff. The junior suite I stayed in was extremely comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep.
Couldn't fault.

Our stay at this country house was lovely. Personal touch and like being in your very own country mansion!! Same staff most of the time and very personal touch. We took our dog and he enjoyed fabulous walks around the beautiful 18 hole golf course. No cars no noise just pure nature and tranquility. Lovely walks along the River Cheviot. Views from every angle. Sad to leave but returned home totally refreshed and chilled.
If you live in outstanding countryside already then this will be nothing out of the ordinary for you.

Spent Easter break at a hotel in the Scottish Borders with great food and friendly staff. the hotel offered a wide variety of tasty breakfast options and we enjoyed the local produce. the location is beautiful, the perfect place to relax and unwind; we enjoyed exploring the nearby walking trails.
The room allocated to us was very small, especially considering the price we paid. the room lacked some basic amenities, like a wardrobe and tea and coffee making facilities.

Meals at the hotel are exectionally well prepared and delicious. The room we were offered as an alternative to a couryard room was superbly appointed, roomy and comfortable
Initially we were offered a courtyard room which was perfectly adequate but could have been any nice hotle room anywhere and considerign we went out of our way to book into a castle we were initially disaoointed with our allocation of room. Once we were given a room in the castle hotel, the hotel is difficult to fault

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our stay feel warm and welcoming. The food served at the hotel was absolutely delicious and always served hot and in a timely manner. We were also impressed with the fact that the chef was accommodating and prepared a special meal for us upon our request, even though it was not on the menu. This level of personalized service really stood out to us.
One thing we found slightly inconvenient was that there weren't many options for lighter meals in the evening. As we had already eaten lunch during our day trips, we didn't always want a full three-course meal.

The property is beautiful. The room was large and very clean. We did not stay in the main building which was ok for our family of 3. Golf was amazing. We did not fish but saw a lot of them caught. Wish we had more time to enjoy the other activities. The food was great. Nice service.
The eating area was not good for conversations or comfortable dining. The tables were too close together. It was impossible to have a conversation at our table without including the entire room. Some light background music would help. We talked to other guests and they said the same thing. It was ok for breakfast but not acceptable for a gourmet dinner.
